Bridge Of Smiles

      1. PS This is actually one of the bridges I cross on my walks. It has an iron grilled bottom so you actually see right down to the creek while you are crossing. It’s very old. And yes I really LOVE it. 🙂

      3. More will be coming, Serena. I have more images from this park as well plans to go to several other locations. Everything is just so lush right now due to all the rain we have been getting. Now, IF you adjusted your eyes, I would bet you could find some beauty down your way. I would bet!!! 😉 ❤

      5. Now I am wanting to move from here where we live due to the COLD winters we have, which is very difficult for me to get through. I would Love to live in a temperate environment all year round, but where on earth is that even possible with the weather patterns so messed up? *sighs* And yes, I really do try to find beauty, Serena, even on the days it is tough for me to do so. I am taking a few days off from WP because of doing this challenge and being involved in SO many comments, OMG really? …. and when I come back, you will be seeing some more of my flowers. GRIN!
I spent the majority of my afternoon in my gardens because now I have a white midge infestation that has attacked my Roses. I have been using an organic spray but the white midge is not stopped. So I had to cut off a lot of new growth *cry!* because everything is dead, and applied a chemical *YUCK!* to the ground around each Rose bush. Busy. Very. And then after the rain, *CRIPES more rain!* I have to fertilize my Roses. Whew!!! I did get a few really good shots of the Roses that did bloom …. I’ll have those ready soon. OK! Now that I talked your ear off …. I have to go feed Karma who still is not eating enough on his own. 😦 Love ya, your Beautiful Soul!!! Love, Amy ❤

  1. Oh gosh Amy, when I first saw this, I thought that the image and it’s reflection is was just one big bridge that wound around. It’s so wonderful that you have all these scenic wonders at your disposal. You keep transporting me to different times and places and it’s hard for me to realize and imagine that these must just be within a short ride or walk of where you are.

    1. Marissa, I am proving to all who come here, one does not have to go far to find magic and beauty. I am not able to travel the way I would like to, so my eye has been trained to find the unique not far from me. I am so happy you have enjoyed my images thus far. I have more coming, and yes plan on getting more. I have tons of flowers, yet I am going to be going back and forth from landscape, water, and flowers to give more of a variety. And perhaps a true story from my Life here and there too!!! Have a great day!!! Love, Amy ❤

  2. Five great photos, nicely coupled with five sets of beautiful words – you knocked this challenge out of the park Amy.

Just so you know, I actually began my attempt yesterday. I’m explaining it today with a photo and a little bit of a story that you will understand quite well. Thanks for the incentive I needed to participate.

  3. This is a beautiful picture! Of course we have a special place in our hearts for bridges. They can truly tell a story and represent a journey. I love that your bridge is adding smiles to the journey. – Gabriela

    1. They will be coming as soon as I post again. I need at least one day of rest from this challenge. I am just thrilled you are enjoying my work so much. Bless you, my friend, for supporting me and what I do. Speaking of flowers I am in my gardens trying to save my Roses again. This time it is an insect called a white midge that is destroying them. They are not deterred by what I sprayed …. all other insects have stayed away. Now I have to put something in the soil for that is where their cocoons are, soon to sprout more white midges. They suck the life out of all the new growth. What I just cut off broke my Heart to do. I really HOPE I can get these white midges under control. So when you see my Roses, remember this story, knowing what I do in order to present Beauty here at Petals. Love, Amy ❤

In my home we have some pappaya trees…once infected with the same white insect
My mom sprayed a herbal preparation ..and the very next day she wash that plant with a water hose..again sprayed.. And the whole process repeated for 3/4 times.. In addition she sprinkled BHC powder in soil…im going to write down that preparation
Neem tree oil+tobacco leaves decoction (boil tobbaco leaves in water)+soap solution… Try this out…I’m hopeful dear…

      2. Sneha, I am humbled that you see so much into who I am and what I do and why I do what I do. My flowers will be back up soon on Petals. I ask for your patience. I’m catching up on things here within my home that require my attention and I honestly need a small break from the 5 day challenge I just did. Please contact me through my contact page at the top of my header on Petals. You can also find me on facebook by the name of AmyRose Wilski. Either way I will be very interested to be educated how to counteract with these insects that so rapidly destroy my Roses. I have the aphids and white flies under control, as well as I THINK, Japanese Beetles. Why I say I think is because they have yet to come. They show up in July/August. In the meantime, I have sprayed a product on my mulch and at the base of the canes of my Roses to kill the white midges. We will be in touch …. (((HUGS))) Amy<3

    1. Thank you, Van, and you are more then welcome. It is not easy to pick someone for a nomination and even though I thought carefully, I think only 2 nominees are doing this challenge. It is what it is. And that is OK. 🙂 Love, Amy ❤

    1. Actually it was the light that was just right, YC. The water was muddy from all the rain we have been getting, but the slant of the sun’s rays made it look really pretty. I lucked out the evening I shot this image and others. 🙂 Love, Amy ❤

    1. My last five posts all had reflections in them, Jade, with water. I LOVE reflections in water and when the light is just right, magic happens. I honestly stepped into magic. I’m humbled that I was able to inspire you. 🙂 Love, Amy ❤
