  1. This is adorable…I love the way you just lie down there in the warm grass. My little dog follows me every where, if I nap , he naps, I can so relate to this. I’m glad you hubby was able to catch this moment! Many hugs!!!

    1. I LOVE laying in the grass, Holly, soaking up the warm sunshine. I had no idea Tee had decided to come and join me. LOL I am glad hubby caught this moment too, because I don’t stop often. At that moment, I was just so weary, and that grass was so tempting, I laid down and yep, fell asleep. LOL Have a wonderful weekend, Holly! Love, Amy ❤

      1. Thank you, Holly!!! I want to take photographs of it when the light is just right. I am waiting until my Roses start to flower. Well, I off to start another day out in the sunshine. And I see more spots that are calling for flowers, so another trip to the nursery (nurseries) are in order!! Love you! ❤

      2. You are a busy girl, I wish I had half your energy! It’s so hot here, mid 90’s these days but I still get out there for short periods of time to putter in the yard! Love you!

      3. Some days I don’t know how I will do what I do, Holly. I just keep going. I LOVE being outdoors, and yes even when it is hot, which it is today. Thank goodness most of the planting I have to do is in the shade. 🙂

    1. I am spending a little time to answer the comments that first come in, and then I am again heading outdoors to continue with the planting. I also need to go to the nursery to again get more flowers. I have spaces that need filling and this year, especially after loosing my Dad, I need vibrant colors all around me! Cats are something else, aren’t they? Hubby told me that when he first came to take pics, Tee’s head was on a rock, as if he were laying on a pillow. LOL Have a wonderful weekend, Denise. Love, Amy ❤

      1. I understand the need for flowers and being with those I love….plants, dogs, cats and loving humans…..as after my father passed I had to heal my heart. It was by bringing in the things I loved as a child that helped me heal. So I brought home a cute little dog like the one that made me smile as a child and I planted flowers and ate chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter and banana sandwiches with honey, and ice cream! And I sat on my porch swing with my feet in the air! So love yourself with a child’s heart dear Amy! I send you my love too from afar! ❤️🌹🌼🐝

      2. *tears* That is what I am doing, Denise. In my way. Missing my Dad is so fierce, and by planting these beautiful flowers, I hope that fierceness abates. Bless you, my friend!!! Love, Amy ❤

    1. OH that is nothing yet, Cao. I’m waiting until my Roses begin to bloom and then I will be showing the magic that is called my backyard. All that Nitrogen from that snow is making the flora grow like crazy!!! And the helicopters … I’ve never seen so many. Mother is trying to Balance from all the damage that happened this winter. And then some. Have a wonderful weekend, my friend!!! Love, Amy ❤
PS *blush* Thank you for the compliment, Cao. It's music to my ears. When a woman ages, it gets more challenging to feel pretty, even if you really are. Society at large does not respect age. Love to you, my friend!!!

    1. Thank you, Amy! When my Roses begin to flower, I plan on getting images for Petals of the magic that is in our backyard and now front as well. I have more flowers to put in the ground today plus making another run to the nursery to buy more flowers. This is therapy for me, my friend. I just need to be with Mother right now. I’m tempted to put at least one more garden in, but I don’t know if I am up to it. The last time I was in a grieving phase of my Life, I actually created 3 huge gardens. For now, I will just keep planting flowers. Love, Amy ❤

      1. I know gardening is you passion, Amy. I remember you worked so hard and planted many beautiful flowers last year. 3 gardens, Wow! Good to hear you are going to spend time with your Mother. 🙂

      2. I would love to put a border garden in between our backyard and our neighbor’s yard. Making a garden with just a shovel is a LOT of hard work. I’ll see. If I can handle getting all these flowers in, and keep up with all I have out in my gardens, and still have the itch to make another garden, I will. The pain in my Heart must abide and I know of no greater way to bring my Heart a state free of that pain then with my camera and with my gardens. (((HUGS))) Amy ❤

      3. I’m really trying for the good memories, Amy. What is haunting me are his last days. That is what I must put to rest. Love you, Amy. I’m off of here now to help hubby put up Peony braces so that when it rains they remain up on the stalks. It is a lot of work, and hopefully we will finish today. My one bush has begun to flower. OH FOR THE JOY!!!! ❤

    1. LONG story with Tee, Chris. Short version … he is the crazy glue to my Heart. This is second “life” with me. This one he has chosen to live outside, making the barn his home. When I am outside he is with me and during most of the day and evenings, he is hanging out in my gardens. Have a great weekend!!!! Love, Amy ❤

  4. What a sweet pic, Amy, and what could be more special than falling asleep in the grass ? I don’t even remember the last time that happened. A much deserved rest after a day in the sun, for both of you !! ❤️ Van

    1. Van, I honestly couldn’t tell you the last time I fell asleep in the grass. It just looked so inviting, and I was so tired. The plan was just to close my eyes and enjoy the warmth of the sun on my face just for a little while. I fell asleep and my hubby snapped while I did. LOL As for Tee, he is my cat that is glued to my Heart. And I think this picture really shows that. Have a wonderful weekend, my dear friend!! Love, Amy ❤

  5. Oh my gosh, yes, quite brave of you but you are lucky that your mouth isn’t gaping open or worse yet, drooling, although of course I’m sure you always sleep in such a lady like manner!! Tee-hee! Actually it’s an adorable picture and I envy you for having the ability to sleep anywhere. I can barely sleep during the daytime, even if I’m dead tired, much less on the lawn. Hey, hope you put on sunscreen although I heard they are saying the sun doesn’t cause melanoma…just wrinkles!!

    1. LOL Marissa, I was so tired I just dropped. I usually don’t nap much but when I do, yep, I drop. Thank goodness I didn’t have spittle running down my chin, and if I did, you would be sure I would not post that!!! LOL As for sunscreen, sometimes I put it on, sometimes I don’t. People have gotten so afraid of the sun. I Love the sun. I do have to be careful in all honesty due to having freckles. So on the days I know I will burn, I do put sunscreen on.
Have a glorious weekend, my friend!!! (((HUGS))) Amy ❤

      1. Yes, actually after hearing it doesn’t cause skin cancer I have relaxed a little but if I know I’ll be in unrelenting sun, I put it on. All about the highest SPF at the lowest price…heh, heh!

        Liked by 1 person

      2. I just refuse to be afraid of the sun, Marissa. I let my body talk to me when I need to use the sunscreen. And as for SPF. I use 8. And that works. Well, I’m going outside to help hubby put up braces for the Peonies that are just beginning to bloom. We devised a system to keep them up when they flower, even after a rain. So, it is a lot of work. Gotta run. Love you! (((HUGS))) Amy ❤

What a day! I just came in from outside, working for about 6 hours. I am about ready to fall over, yet I still have my cats and chores to address. I was extremely brave to open comments today. 🙂 I’ve been just so busy still with my gardens. Love to you, my friend!!! (((HUGS))) Amy <4

    1. Irene, I honestly fell and just about passed out. The sun felt SO good on my face and the grass smelled heavenly, and then Tee decided to lay down next to me. Yes, I really must do this more often. I don’t. I promise to practice relaxing more. May you have a wonderful weekend!!! Love, Amy ❤

    1. How I so appreciated your comment, Tiny. Thank you. Again I am so far behind in answering comments due to being SO busy (again) in my gardens. I am planting flowers and plants, my friend, crying as I do so, talking to my Dad. Just today the thought went through my head before I could catch it, “Oh, I have to call Dad today … it’s been a while since we last talked.” And then realizing what happened, tears.
I need to take more time in the grass with Tee, Tiny. It was so comforting and so Loving, the sun caressing my face, Tee next to me Loving the sun as I was.
I Love you, my friend. I hope you have a really good weekend. FYI, I have the lens you have (150-600mm) on my wishlist at B&H. Dream on, Ame!!! (smile) (((HUGS))) Amy ❤

    1. OH, thank you, Ann! I must incorporate more moments like this one into my Life. I have been planting so many flowers, and as I do, letting go little by little, my Heart pain regarding my Dad. Today again I plant. And today I WILL lay down on the grass. I have to watch out for hubby …. He’s getting dangerous with that camera I gave him for his birthday. (smile) He was like a little kid, just bursting out with, “OH, Amy, I am SO happy you bought me this camera!”, being said after he knew he captured a special moment. I’ve been encouraging him to pick it up and use it. I seem to be his motivation. LOL OK, hubby, bring it on. Hehehehehe
Have a wonderful weekend, my dear friend. Sending so Much Love your way, Amy ❤

Now I am planting new plants and planning on getting more. I am really filling in my gardens this year and as I do, I profect my grief about my Dad into the Earth. 7. This is an adorable photo. What comes to mind is that a few short months ago you were going through such a tough winter and here you are now finding rest for your bodies and souls. It’s good to remember the ups and downs of life to give perspective in this life we live here. Blessings

    1. Thank you, Lightrays. I am in actual awe of the flora at how aggressively it is growing. We have gone from barren, brutal cold, to Nature growing at a speed that stuns me. I am happy that you enjoyed this image. (smile) It took a lot of courage for me to post it. LOL Love, Amy ❤

      1. I’m too pooped to even think about it, Suze. OMGOSH! I’ve planted SO many flowers, I am now having trouble finding space for the ones I have left to go. Hehehehehe Some are perennials, so that means they will live through the winter. I’m dirty, sunburned (today OH did I get it on my back!), hurting like um no tomorrow, and really really missing my Dad. Next two days I think are supposed to rain, so I must rest and begin nail/teeth/ear care for my cats. *sigh* Hubby finally pitched in today and threw a load of whites in the wash because we ran out. LOL Oh, my friend, I am SO far behind in just about everything but I don’t care. You should SEE the photos I have gotten so far …. hundreds! And still more to take! If my knees were not so sore I would be out there right now getting shots of the new flowers I got today. Now that you got a run-on comment from me, you can sigh a big sigh of relief and know I am done. GRIN! How I wish you were here, right next to me, planting these precious flowers. OH! Before I go!!! My Lilacs are in full bloom (wish I could bottle that smell!), my Peonies have begun to open and some of my Roses. I’ve had quite the horrific battle with insects with my Roses, something I have NEVER seen. They are ferocious and are not responding to an absorbing insecticide I put in the dirt, which I detested doing. I’m shocked, Suze, by how these SUPER BUGS are acting. I’m really thinking of quitting on the Roses …. they are just TOO much work. Did I say I was done? OK! Now I am! I’ve missed you and everyone else. Can you tell???? LOL ❤

      2. Awww…thank you for the commentary. I liked reading it. You are not behind. You are where you are meant to be doing what you should be doing. Enjoy this moment.

I understand about super bugs. Advantage no longer does the job with fleas. With one dog and one cat indoors, I have taken to combing them with a flea comb in soapy water. Every night. After two months, I only find five to ten each night. They both have said thank you in every way they can.

We have a few outside cats and one, a new mama this year honored me by keeping her baby on my deck. She won’t let me get close enough to pet her, but she does not object me petting the baby.

There are bears in the neighborhood. I saw a mama and baby strolling along the path in back of our house on a Sunday night.

I love my job. A lot.

Now, that passage will have to suffice for me sitting next to you because that is the best I can do for right now. I love lilacs.

        XO

  8. no need to reply my lady – but at first I thought those were angle weights you had around your ankles. ha! and this is so adorable – truly a great capture and there is something so wonderful about how you are right on the grass – without a blanket and you can just feel the sun – and then being in such sync with Tee is priceless! thanks for sharing – and in another way (cheesy – but hey – why not) it is also a way of remembering that God will go with you as you advocate – as that sun beats down and warms you as you rest and recharge – may his strength infuse you like that in your spirit and keep you strong and fresh –
