I was out and about taking photographs of flowers yesterday evening and as I was, I saw scurrying ants both on the ground and crawling on what I was attempting to photograph. The THOUGHT went through my head, “Now wouldn’t it be nice if just one ant would hold still long enough for me to photograph?” I didn’t give it another thought, but happily went on my way to find my next Garden Treasure.
While on my knees, getting ready to focus in on a flower, I noticed a dandelion in front of me with what looked like an ANT on it. Looking closer, sure enough there was an ant, and darn it, if that ant was STILL as if posing just for me. I did not have my tripod with me at that moment, but I sure was not going to run for it and loose this opportunity to photograph an ant.
I was taking NO chances. I flipped my switch on my camera to AF as quick as a wink, and with deliberate aim, very carefully got that ant in focus and snapped, once, twice, three times! The entire time that ant did not move, even after I was finished with the “shoot”. Now come on, here I was just THINKING how nice it would be IF an ant would hold still long enough for me to capture it clearly. And look what happens! An ant actually laid still long enough for me to capture Her. AMAZING!
(I do not believe in “coincidences”. That being said, I ask you, is it possible that my THOUGHT created a situation in which an ant was completely still so that it was possible to photograph Her?)
Granted this image of the ant would be a lot clearer with my tripod, but what I captured is another OH MY GOSH! Look what I found! WOW! Triple WOW!!! What you are about to see is a dandelion, with an ant casually laying on a leaf posing for me. This is my Gift to Shrimp , my beautiful furry friend who adores my flowers! Here you go, Shrimp, a tasty delectable delight just for you to snack on!!! Do enjoy!!! Perhaps you will appreciate your tasty snack SO much you will not munch on my flowers as much this year. Maybe? Whatever you choose, you know, Mom BonZo Loves you unconditionally. (smile)
Do I hear you all saying WOWOWOWOWOWOW with me???? LOL
