Remembrance

  1. Yes, I was just thinking of you so glad you decided to post this morning. Love this one Amy! I hear that purple and yellow are opposites on the color spectrum so I always appreciated how the two complement each other. Notice also a bit of intentional blurring so I wonder if you used your macro lens on this one? Your garden must be coming along really nicely!

    1. My point of focus was at the center of this flower, and due to the f/stop I had my camera on, the blurring was intentional. All I wanted was that tiny center to be crystal clear. Believe me, that center is tiny. I am amazed I was able to do this shot. Have a good day, Marissa. I must dress very warm today for it is extremely chilly here. I hope to complete my front rose garden today, then I start on all my backyard gardens. This is my eighth garden. Love, Amy 🌹💞🌹

      1. Oh yes, and don’t get my wrong Amy, absolutely love it and I’m sure that anything you do in your shots is intentional. It just through me a little because I was getting used to the crystal clear of the macro and I was wondering why you chose to mix it up. Now I see the capturing of the crystal clear center in contrast with the blurred petals. It really works well. Stay warm in your garden!!

  2. Gosh, don’t worry about us! That’s the thing about friends you (or they) can wander off and when they return it’s as if it was just a pause for breath in the middle of a joyous conversation. Embrace the healing of the Earth about you Amy ❤

    1. I just miss you all SO much, Cao! Really! I am about to get ready to return outside today so have quickly, while putting breakfast in me, have answered as many comments as I could. I am bringing you with me, my very dear friend, and shall be sending you the Magic of Mother. Be open to it and feel it. (smile) Love, Amy ❤

    1. Oh, Chris, don’t worry about it. Really! I am not officially blogging now due to reopening my gardens. In fact, I just came in from outside, moaning and groaning, wanting very much to call it a day, but, my goal is to get the garden I am working on mulched. That way it will be finished and I can move on to another one. It is just so darn cold here (again) and this body of mine does not function well in cold. Hence, the groaning. We will have plenty of time to catch up. Be well! Be happy! Love, Amy ❤

  3. Amy I so understand.. I know I always feel guilty when I am absent for a while.. but our gardens do not do themselves.. and Spring is the busy time of year..
I too have not been around as often, as my hubby hurt his back pulling out a large shrub root on a neighbours allotment as he gave him a hand.. So I have been needed all the more to help out…

Love and Hugs, and so love your close ups in micro.. I am smiling here as I have my camera here all ready to load some photos I took yesterday, close up in miniature LOL Hope to have them posted for this weekend..

Take care, do not work too hard.. Love and Blessings Sue xxx ❤

    1. I have to work on the “guilt” myself. Even though I am sharing beautiful images and wisdom as well, I don’t like the “feeling” of not returning the honor of my work being viewed by going to blogs. Yes, gardens are a huge undertaking. I’m on break right now, coming in to get something to eat, then finishing up with the garden I am in. So sorry to hear about hubby’s back. That can be really serious. Chiropractor perhaps? Best of luck with your camera. I’ve already scouted around and know what I plan on capturing next. That and I still have images to show you yet! (smile) Take care, Sue!! Love, Amy ❤

    1. I am pacing myself, my friend. It’s been slow going for me this year. The weather has turned chilly and this body does not do well in chilly. I’ve come in to get a bite to eat and then plan on turning around to lay mulch in, in the garden I have been working on for 2 days. I have a before pic and will be taking an after pic. Perhaps I will post them to get everyone to understand how huge some of my gardens are. And yes, I am using knee pads. (smile) And applying lineament to my back. (smile) Love you! Amy ❤

      1. I agree totally with you, Eliza. If it were not for Yoga I probably would not be walking. I have the flexibility of a woman at least 20 years younger then me. Yoga has become my Life!! (smile) Just came in from a very challenging day in my garden. I did finish what I intended, and yes I did take a shot of what I did. Temps are supposed to get warmer thank goodness. There were times today I could actually see my breath. So glad today is over!! (((HUGS))) Amy ❤

      2. It was pretty nippy out there for sure. I admire your tenacity! I had wool hat and mittens on again while I walked. I’ve learned not to put them away until summer! Thankfully, tomorrow will be warmer. 🙂

      3. LOL If you had seen me with my many layers on and a wool hat on too, you would have laughed. Thank goodness my Yoga class is tomorrow to work out the kinks. Whew! Yes, we are warming up here too! YAY!!! It snowed here yesterday. Wow! 😦

    1. Dearest friend, it is words such as yours that embrace my Heart with such tenderness, and giving me the ability to get what needs done, done. I miss my usual blogging rounds, I miss the conversations with my friends, and I miss viewing the talent of my friends that does not ever cease to bring such a feeling of humbleness to me. In my opinion, I have the best friends a girl could even hope in asking for. You are the best, Van! Keep on shining your beautiful Light. The world needs it. Love, Amy 🌹💞🌹

      1. Thanks, Amy. Trying in my small way to make a difference. There is healing after tragedy, no matter how horrible. I am proof of that survival instinct and would like to pass a bit of hope along. 💕 Happy Weekend ! Van

    1. I attained more then I planned to yesterday, Ruth. All gardens in the front of the house are now complete. The gardens along side the garage are now complete. What remains are the gardens in the backyard. I have one very large one, one somewhat large one, and the rest, a piece of cake. Even though it has Been cold again, I have been out preparing my garden beds. I will be ready for my main season, giving myself the time needed to photograph the way I want to. Today I go to Yoga to get the kinks out. Whew! Love, Amy 🌹💞🌹

      1. If you do not know me, how then can you Love me? I am truly honored by your words, but they do leave me a bit puzzled. I say “I Love you” quite often here at Petals, to those who I have come to know and really cherish as friends. May I ask why you Love me? Do we somehow know one another? ❤

      2. Do you always have to be for something? I just love you like a man man. I’m sorry if I offended you, my love for you.

      3. You did not offend me. You just surprised me, that is all. I know English is not your first language, so if there was any misunderstanding, it was due to language. Love, Amy 🌹
