Beautiful Amy.. and the petals in the foreground remind me of the beginning of a heart shape… Lovely to catch up with you again after my absence.. 🙂 Hugs your way with Lots of Love for Easter Holidays xx
Oh, Eddie. Thank you so much! Your words just felt like a huge hug! I have been not feeling well and I took a chance today in posting. Your comment was worth the effort! Bless you. Love, Amy
The red “heart-shaped” object in front of the flower I was shooting, is a petal from another flower. It was closer to the camera so the effect you see is the reason why it looks “special effect”. Blurry, out of focus and overexposed all gave me this what you see.
Okay Amy, I looked at it again, this time not on my iPhone. Yes, I did see that the flower in front was blurred. I think whats giving it a bit of a ‘watercolor’ look is that the flower in that background is just super defined, almost as if outlined and then painted in. It’s beautiful!
I wanted a real apparent look between the front flower and the one in focus. I know how to adjust settings on my camera to do that. The whole “trick” to this one, make sure my hand was really steady when I shot this image, knowng that point of focus would come in crystal clear while the forefront flower would have a blurred affect. That flower really looked like that, Marissa. It was the lighting. (smile) And a little know how on my end. LOL
Yes, you know it did occur to me that something like that could only be captured if there was an almost unnatural movement on both ends. Very nicely done!
You are welcome, Kathy! Yes the red shape does look like a Heart. It blew me away when I saw this in my viewfinder. I’ve had many interesting images from this one bouquet of flowers. (((HUGS))) Amy
It was a lucky shot, Dan. I was just gazing at the bouquet of flowers and when my eyes began to pull me to “shapes and shadows” and went to work with my camera. When I saw this in my viewfinder, I saw wow outloud! I saw a HEART and the way this flower was positioned, another wow from me. (smile) Love, Amy
This made me smile- I love the subtle heart and bright heart colors ❤ as always, your words and images bring a smile to my face. Have a wonderful weekend, Amy!
I am so happy this made you smile, Melissa. I’m recouping from a nasty something so now I know you you felt a while back. I’m not blogging right now. I just wanted to take time to wish you a very wonderful weekend in return. Love, Amy
Hmmmm… Hubby poo …. you may be on to something there, Shrimp. *eye roll* Happy Easter to you!!! Hope the Easter bunny brings you lots of nip! The Easter bunny came early to my house! But you will have to wait until Sunday to see what. *innocent eyes … flutters eyelashes* See ya!!! (((HUGS))) MB who is Spring cleaning so she can get out to her gardens ….. Wanna help?
NO NO NO. NOT these tender little babies that are coming your way! Bad KAT! No! I am guarding these with my LIfe. You and the rabbits and the deer, I will guard against with my Life!
So, you are still insisting things your way? You just won’t give a little and let me enjoy my baby flowers after one very LONG COLD BRUTL TORTUROUS WINTER? HUH! What a friend you are!
Silly KAT! I don’t have Roses yet. I be talking baby bulbs. And I mean tiny. They would even be a full mouthful. Nah. You wouldn’t be interested. Nope.
Amy, although I don’t get here as often as I wish to, I wanted to tell you I hope you have a lovely Easter weekend, my friend. This was a great post and your words made a difference on my day.
Dearest Robin, I too do not get to your blog as much as I would like. I really appreciate your effort for stopping by to wish me a lovely Easter weekend. I am greatly honored that this post made a difference in your day. This is what Petals is all about … to assist you on your Life Journey. Happy Easter to you, my friend. Love, Amy
I also respect how you would not ‘copy’ other’s quotes and make them your own. You are a treasure which is wonderful to be part of when I visit. Thank you for giving us original thoughts/poems and beautiful photos. You are a gift of the best kind, Amy! Happy Easter (again) and hugs to you, my dear.
Robin, I closed comments for two reasons. One, I am seriously busy Spring cleaning furniture today and was not planning on posting, and two, that suggestion came from someone very close to me, who I thought understood I really “hear” what I write. It was a gut punch to the solar plexus. And yes that person follows me, so when this person reads this, I hope the “surprise” of the content of that post, gets this person thinking. Yes I verbalized that would be cheating, but still this person insisted no one would know, so what? Wow, Robin, incredible, just wow. Thank YOU for your support of me. I have tears in my eyes, it just means so much to me. Bless you! Love, Amy
I am very humbled, Randall, by your words. My Gratitude is complete. Since my Dad died, my writing has become stronger, more powerful, as has my photography. The pain of my Heart is being transformed into that of Beauty, and my Dad’s legacy of being an artist, lives on through me. Your comment has brought much Hope to my Heart today and for this I deeply thank you. May you BE Blessed for the Gift you have given me this day. Happy Easter, my friend. Sending Much Love to you, Amy
