    1. Sreejith, what a comment! Thank YOU! This is something new I have been experimenting with, and this kind of comment gives me the incentive to keep doing what I am in the editing room. It is my pleasure to share with you, my friend. I am so happy you enjoyed this. Love, Amy

  1. Oh, this is so true. And I recognize this as the effect we were discussing before (ha, ha like I can remember what it’s called!!). Anyway, it works really well here with the pink and orange. Love the match/clash tones!

    1. It’s called Tangled FX ….. hehehehehehe. Bless you for this comment, Marissa. I really honestly was not sure about this one, but you and some others have really liked what I have created. I shall continue and see what I can come up with next. GRIN!!! *says the kid who is playing in the sand box* (((HUGS))) Amy

      1. You are born with talent, have enormous self-motivation and passion. I know you’re one of the few that needs encouragement from others. (((HUGS))) Amy

      2. Do you mean I need encouragement or one of the few who don’t need encouragement? I am a bit confused with your comment. Truth be told, this is the only place I get encouragement, Amy. From my WP friends. Since my Dad, I’ve been tottering a bit, and with this Niagara Falls trip coming up, I feel nervous. Why do I still doubt myself? I will tell you why. Because growing up I did not have encouragement, and as an adult I did not have encouragement. I learned to encourage myself and when all who come here encourage me, I am just blown away with such such grattitude, Amy. For real. To be SEEN as I am here, is a Gift I have never had in my Life. *tears* (((HUGS))) Amy

      3. No, you don’t… Sorry about the confusion. Besides, you constantly give encouragement to us and motivate us with your beautiful photos and words… You are amazing!

      4. You are bringing tears to my eyes, Ame. I decided a long time ago, to treat others as I would have wanted to be treated, especially as a child. I’ve learned to be my own cheerleader, and always encourage others as well. It really makes me feel good, knowing that I am lifting someone up, a feeling I had longed for as a child. Well, I have turned things around and have taken that longing, giving it to others. The JOY in return it gives me, is beyond what I can possibly put into words. I LOVE to share, and I LOVE to give, and to be able to do this in the form I do on Petals, again, is a Gift I was never given as a child. Many times I have been given my childhood here through my friends, Amy. Again, I am in tears. You don’t know how much all of this means to me. (((HUGS))) Amy

  2. EXACTLY! I try to explain this to my hubby…it’s not the word, it’s the tone. He doesn’t get it. But I’m guessing a lot of men don’t. Sorry to all the men who read this and are insulted lol.

    1. Hmmmmmm ….. Gee, I seem to be on the same boat you are on, Laura. Just this morning, the “tone” which had some cats scurrying. It’s not only that either. I know of some people who “fear” some words just because of the connotations this world has attached to them. Yep, this has everything to do with emotion and what your mind attaches to each word. IF you think about it, words are just letters strung together. And what are letters? They are characters, nothing more. I’m really learning more about this as I examine my own speech patterns. It is unreal what we SEE when we do SEE. (((HUGS))) Amy

    1. LOL @ Darrell! You are SO funny! Brevity does have its place. You should see the length of my emails so I more then make up for my brevity here. And about that duct tape …. so sorry, you aint leavin’ without me right behind ya. Besides, I am a licensed medical professional so I must come to your rescue and resusitate you. So carry on, my friend, in this world of ours. Hopefully soon those of us who are pushing the wall of darkness will eventually see LIGHT once again!! So glad you enjoyed this post! Hehehehehehe I am just giggling right now over you. Honest. (((HUGS))) Amy

      1. Are you really a medical professional? Listen! I think I’ve contracted bum cancer! There’s a pimple the size of Mount Rushmore, right where Klingon’s are circling Uranus! Are they going to have to remove my bum? How will I sit down? Am I destined to wander the Earth for the rest of eternity?

Could you please just put on a gas mask and put my bum under a Microscope? I know how to remain perfectly still! I used to be a manikin at a department store. In fact, I think that’s how I caught cancer! I was advertising seamless jeans so I had to press my bum against the cold glass all day! It was a little humiliating but it paid well… Is this the end Doc.? I’m afraid!!

      2. Sorry to disappoint but I am only a humble RN. The good news is, I’ve seen plenty of bums in my career time, and I have you know, you have nothing to fear. You will live. You only have a wee bit of discoloration and swelling from the bareness of your bum against the window, how silly of you! Seamless jeans? I am falling off my chair laughing so hard! Sorry. Couldn’t help myself! Nope, this is not the end of anything. It is just a brand new beginning. How about that? Once that swelling goes down and the discoloration fades, your bum will be as good as new. 😀 Yep, that is my official report to you.

      3. ‘How about that?’ The mark of a true professional, whether the word ‘medical’ is attached or not, is the insight, dignity, and exemplary conduct with the way in which one solves problems. And the way you handled a bum today, I say you’re a professional! xOx
