      2. I feel once while ice skating and split my whole chin wide open. I was so numb I didn’t feel a thing, not knowing I even hurt myself until I looked down and saw the blood on my coat. So glad you are OK. A fall on the face can be really serious!!! (((HUGS))) Amy

      1. Good for you! I’m taking some time off too, Kathy …. not knowing if I told you this already LOL ….this coming Tuesday (evening) will be my last post for Christmas and then I will be back on the following Monday. I’ve worked hard, Kath, bringing encouragement and Love to Petals, especially these past few weeks. Besides, I would like to go photo shooting with hubs IF we get some pretty snow!!! And I have to find a hat and photographer mitts to keep my head and hands warm. Looking forward in cuddling with my babies as well. (((HUGS))) Amy

      2. That is Great Amy and glad that you are taking some time off. Especially with everything that has happened. You do work hard and photo shooting with your hubs sounds perfect. I thought I saw on etsy fingerless mittens. If I run across any will let you know 🙂 HUGS ♥

      3. Thanks, Kath!!! I am planning on going to EMS this week to check out what they have. I may not find what I am looking for, but at least I am going to go look. I’ve gone into several stores and I am shocked at the POOR quality on the shelves and on the racks. I have a terry cloth bathrobe that is about 15 years old that is better then what is hanging on some hangers in stores. Just wow! (((HUGS))) Amy

      4. Yep, and I am keeping mine. The JUNK that is being sold is really really shocking! When will this nightmare come to an end and manufactures again make quality? Yes you can find quality but man you will pay through the nose for it! Hubby went into a shoe store, a very expensive one, and looked around. He told me there was a hole in one of the shoes that had a price tag of almost $200. Wow. Just wow. Anyways …. Trying to get out of here today to go shopping for a woolen hat and photographer mitts for me. I like those hats with the ear flaps that tie under the chin …. very warm and that is exactly what I need. I have everything else to stay warm outside!! Love you, Kathy! (((HUGS))) Amy

      5. Yes, the prices are outrageous and such poor quality. That is why we were so surprised with the new desk and the quality of it. Keeping my robe, too. That is crazy that there was a hole in a shoe that was almost $200. Hope you have luck this afternoon shopping. We have a few errands to run later also. Love you Amy ♥ ♥ ♥

      6. WE did get lucky, Kathy. Found these wonderful and very warm photographer mitts for $29.99, and then at another store found a bomber hat (hat with flaps tied under chin) for $39.99. BOTH are quality! So there really IS quality out there and I am SO happy that your desk is one of the quality items. Yep, keeping my bathrobe. It has one seam that has begun to tear … no prob … I’m good with a needle and thread too. Good luck with YOUR shopping. It was WILD out there today, traffic and people wise! (((HUGS))) Amy

      7. Oh so glad to hear that and sounds like you will be nice and warm with the mitts and hat. Glad that quality is still out there just means searching more at times. It started to rain heavy so decided not to go out today. I know tomorrow will be crazy but at least clear. HUGS back Kathy

    1. Robin, I am SO happy, no make that thrilled, you “get this”. Thank you. I had the meaning of Christmas in Mind when I wrote this, and how the Birth of Light, IN US, is seen when we live on the Great Foundation called LOVE. Jesus came to teach us how to LIVE as he did, in LOVE and how to do it. Yes? Hope you are having a great weekend!!! Love, Amy
