My husband’s birthday is this week, on the 11th. For his birthday I bought him a Canon camera body, a Rebel EOS t5i, a lower range camera on the professional aspect, yet a darn good camera. When this man was in high school, one of his prints ended up hanging in the Buffalo Museum of Art. Yes, he really is THAT good. Unfortunately, he was brainwashed into thinking he must work at a job that he really doesn’t like, yet offers enough money to live on. So, my husband shelved his incredible talent and worked his entire life at a job he not only hated, but today has health problems from that job.
In buying this camera body, my intent is to get him excited about photography again. He loves to shoot in black and white so today, I suggested he take my camera set to monochrome, and I take my iPad and we go on a short photo shoot together. We did. What he doesn’t know he is practicing for his NEW camera that he will get on his birthday from his wife, me.
I just spent the last hour editing my husband’s photographs. I have my copyright on them, but I want all here to know my husband is the photographer. The first image is mine, of me taking a shot of my husband as he is concentrating on getting a shot. My photograph is taken with my iPad, and hubby’s photograph is taken with my Canon 50D with my 17-55mm lens. Please do enjoy, as I know you will agree with me my husband is a very good photographer. If you are intuitive enough, you will see his hurting Heart within the images he shot.
(The portrait type photos are best seen if you scroll from the bottom slowly going to the top of each one. Not realizing these photos are larger then the screen, I know now to decrease on the over all size of my next portrait shots. My normal is landscape shots, so I do apologize for any inconvenience. I’m learning as I go.)
