Dreams

To all of you who struggle with the Holidays, I give you my word I shall do my very best to uplift and to inspire you to help you get through the next few weeks. When I give you words of “wisdom”, it is not in any way my show of ignorance or denial of the tragedy and misery so many suffer in this world of ours today. I must focus my attention on posts such as mine in order to keep my spirits high. So many of you are doing such good in this world with your blogs, and I applaud you! Some of those blogs I am not able to view, for the content hurts just too much. I am an Empath, extremely sensitive, yet just because I avoid certain subject matter, does not mean I do not know darkness  exists. I know only too well that it does.

As we travel the Road of Life together, I promise you to make your Holidays as happy as possible. As I do say many times, it really does come down to us whether we suffer or not as individuals. I am referring to those who are in “safe” Life Situations who have hurt Hearts, who do have the freedom to make choices between heavy and light. I am not referring to those souls who live in terror, in war, in hate, in strife, in poverty, in horrors beyond description that again I am only too well aware of. Those brothers and sisters need our prayers and Loving Thoughts, and how are we to do that very thing if we choose to have our chins upon our shoes? It’s just not possible.

Christmas for me personally is not easy and hasn’t been for many years. I just survived the worst snow storm I have ever experienced, and because of that one event, I am determined to have a good Christmas this year, to gain the JOY of Christmas back once more. I reach out to you, as together we can do anything, as we proved during that snow storm, so we all who come here, will have the very best Christmas of her or his Life! That is my Intention for myself and for all who come to Petals, and let me not stop there. I see that Good Cheer radiating out to all those people who are connected to all of my followers and from there, people connected to them! Who knows, we may be able to spread the Love of Christmas around this globe several times! I’m game! Are you? Love, AmyRose

      1. Honey, if you knew what I have been through, I myself at times find myself shaking my head, as I think back from whence I came, to who I am today. The encouraging started with me, as throughout my life, I found very little or actually no encouragement. I took up my Passion and ran with it, and now today, I share my enthusiasm for Life with all of you. Bless you, my friend, for you kind words to me today. Love, Amy

      2. Ah you and I are kindred souls, in a way. I had much the opposite of encouragement growing up, so much that those words still haunt me to this day. (there’s more of course, isn’t there always?) But it’s taken an immense amount of courage to do what I’m doing today, and the catharsis of actually doing it, combined with all the people in meeting along the way that are showing me nothing but support and praise, has given me the strength to push above what was meant to tear me down.

      2. This is the Core of what I do, Carrie, focus on LOVE. I am a visionary, and I really envision a world based on LOVE. In order to do that, it all, as with everything else, begins with me, and it begins with you. In order to radiate out LOVE, we must embrace LOVE and BE IT. Yes? (((HUGS))) Amy

  3. Christmas was a miserable time for most of my life – certainly my childhood. In my ’40’s, out-of-the-blue, I determined that I was going to take it back from the people who stole it from me in childhood. One of the best decisions I ever made! Peace to you . . .

  4. Lovely words Amy. I know I am one of the ‘downers’ and I am truly sorry for that. I have actually thought about taking a hiatus from writing until after New Years but for me my blog is how I communicate with the outside world. I do try to tone the depression down and if I cannot, I stay away and will stay away. xx

    1. Kimberly, I welcome you here every day just to soak in the beauty and Love. What we focus on, that is what we are. That may not manifest for a while, but with continued practiced, it does. Don’t give up. I see your Light and depression is not you … learn what it wishes to teach you and then gently tell it goodbye. (((HUGS))) Amy

  5. I am absolutely game. In fact, it is the only way we can lift the world to a higher state….through focused positive intentions. We can’t fix others. We can only bathe them in thoughts of lovingkindness and then step back to watch as they begin to stumble on a new path…lit by the glimmer of Love, applied liberally.

    1. AMEN!! I had a reply and it disappeared. Hmmmm …. No we cannot change others, agreed! Each of us is responsible to choose Love, yet when we ourselves walk within the Realm of Love in our daily lives, others around us are affected. This Walking Love is very challenging at times, yet I KNOW it can be done! Together we can change this world!! (((HUGS))) Amy

  6. Hello dear Amy,
This beautiful post made my eyes fill with tears.
You’re right, winter holidays are not easy for many – regardless of region, religion, etc – especially as so many tragic events happen everywhere on both a large & personal level. Your beautiful soul really shines through in your work.
    Love and hugs,

    1. Dearest Takami, I read your comment last night and I was moved to tears by your words. Being too tired to reply I waited until this morning to do so. If we can all learn to really live again by putting our losses behind us, it is a good possibility we can find our JOY again. Bless you for your deeply moving words. (((HUGS))) Amy

    1. No, Marissa, this one I really worked on, deliberately to bring to it a dream quality. I actually shot it in the wrong WB and it turned out with a blue tint. I was going to delete it, then stopped. I am SO glad I did not delete it but elected to play with the editing. I’m glad you liked the image. It speaks volumes to me. And as for this positive message …. I do plan on living it. (((HUGS))) Amy

  7. I love that photo Amy. And your words of wisdom. I’m all for reclaiming Christmas. Mine last year was so horrible, but this year I am determined to fight the demons and be cheerful and happy. I’ve been alone at Christmas for 20 years now, and it’s time to get over it and help others who are also alone. there are so many of us, and I don’t have exclusive rights to depression just because it hurts me. Too many have it much worse than I, and I can do something about it for them. You have lifted me up my Angel. My Christmas will be Joy filled this year. Love, Angie

    1. Angie, just think today of someone or of a family who would really enjoy sitting around a wonderful meal with you on Christmas. Someone who would be alone like you. You have nothing to loose and everything to gain to extend an invite to have dinner with you. The worst that could happen the person would say no. I too have been very alone for too many years, Angie, but this year IS going to be different. I’ve already gotten into the spirit of things starting with my husband’s birthday that is next week, buying him something that I believe he really would LOVE. I’m even making a cake, something I have not done in years. Depression has stolen a lot from me too, along with the actions of others. I will not allow anything to take my JOY from me this year. I promise you. I look back and the years I struggled with depression were horrible. I fought back and I learned why the depression was in my life and through it all, I came out the other side. If I can do it, so can you. Hang on, my friend, for this Christmas is going to be a glorious one!!! (((HUGS))) Amy

  8. I nearly had my chin on my shoes once. Almost broke my neck! Stupid snow! Where are all the spiked football shoes? I guess all the football players are wearing them… Stingy Bass turds! I like the mix of blue and green in the picture: I’m planning to take my camera out this year and SMASH IT! I don’t wanna be taking a picture and get hit by a bus: all you’d get, is a close up of a tree! Keep up the great spirit of Crismis past Amy! Really great feed! This year, We’re planning roasted sparrow this year, sautéed over twigs :O(

  9. Oh what a beautiful picture and post. I was really touched by your words and your love. I let my family take too much from me most of my life. Long story but 10 yrs ago I let go of them and it’s the best decision I have ever made. I have found Joy and Love since then and I am a better person now without them. You touch so many lives, Amy!!! 1. Kathy, between losses, and Life, and people, I grew to dread the Holidays. I refuse to do so this year! I have already jumped into the spirit by buying my hubs a birthday present I know he will really LOVE or at least, that is my HOPE. It is a camera body to be used with my kit lenses. He is such a fantastic photographer and my HOPE that this camera will ignite his passion again. Cross your fingers, Kath!!! (((HUGS))) Amy

  10. I think the best way to fight darkness is to live in Light, to make an effort every day to create a loving atmosphere in our hearts and in our surroundings, to live out our dream of Love and Joy, even when the world is raging around us. To be a safe haven of Love for those who are suffering, and when it is we ourselves who are suffering, find that safe haven in the Loving comfort of our own souls 🙂 ❤ ❤

  13. I get what you’re saying. All year round, year in and year out, we’re bombarded with *bad news.* It’s the media, but not only the media. So many people want to tell you rotten stuff too. This is in addition to whatever personal troubles someone has going on. Then Christmas comes and we’re all supposed to be insta-happy, filled with good cheer (which we are encourage to spend lots of money to procure at the mall). It is such a muddled message. I think you’re right, you have to generate your own good will and feeling. All the bad news can wait.

    1. I stay away from the news. It hurts too much. And then the materialism associated with Christmas is NOT the true spirit of Christmas. Christmas is about LOVE as is Life. I have made my own little world away from the big world so that I can live in Peace and in Love. If I brought the world into my home, I would loose my sanity and my Peace. I hope we all find a way to enjoy our Holidays this year!!! (((HUGS))) Amy

    1. I am well, Sue. I too have taken some days off from here, just catching up on comments. I support so many behind the scenes, and I continuously bring to Petals Photographs of Love that yes I must take some time off for me (smile). The hours I do put in with just my photography …Listening to Heart to put posts together. Let’s not forget the editing room. LOL Two birthdays for me this coming week, one is hubs. I bought him a camera body that he can use with my kit lenses. This man is extremely talented with a camera and my HOPE is that I ignite that passion again with him. No, I am not able to do this for him, yet if I put the tools in his hands, perhaps magic is about to happen. So yes lots of good things …. and I am meeting one of my WP friends this coming week too. I do plan on having a post about this IF it will be OK to put pics (permission I need) of us on Petals. This man is special in many ways …. I am almost sure I will be doing the post. Thank YOU for all your comments and spending time at my Petals. Yes, I am walking into the Dream Time. No better place to be to create MAGIC and LOVE. (((HUGS))) Amy
