The next series of photos are my last for the day. I usually don’t post this many posts in one day, yet what is happening here is too important not to document. As of this writing at 5PM, the snow has again started coming down. And it is downright frigid with the temps hovering around 13 degrees Fahrenheit.
This is ONLY phase 1 of this storm. Phase 2 begins tonight, tomorrow, with an added accumulation of up to 3 more feet of snow coming. Then beginning this weekend, phase 3 starts as temperatures are expected to go up into the 50’s and with it, rain heralds Her Presence. My husband and I are tomorrow getting the basement ready, as in clearing everything between the sump pump and the sinks in case we have to bail water. In other words, flooding is a very real concern.
Let me get back to the NOW. The following pictures are of our street earlier today, and the surrounding area in Lancaster, NY. A huge Earth Mover was on our street today, digging out abandoned cars left on the road that were buried completely in snow. Following that machine, was a pickup with a snow plow.
I am keeping comments open on this post for I would like you to tell me if you want me to continue to document this storm, or if you have had enough of white for a while and would like instead to see my flowers, or even, some of my Autumn color posts that I still have yet to publish.
Winding up for this day here are the last photos taken by my iPad. Thank you for viewing them.
