  1. What beautiful words of love and gratitude for your sister. I pray for the Lord to bless your whole family and keep you all in his care.

This post is especially meaningful to me, because my mother lives with my husband and me:-)

    Love and hugs,

    1. Ah, Bernadette, I knew when I created this post that it would touch many more then my sister. Even though it is dedicated to her, I dedicate this post to you as well. Being a caretaker of a parent is so NOT easy, and I really do admire you for what you are doing. May God Bless YOU for all the hard work and patience required to walk the shoes you are. 1. And it is for all those who are caretakers as well, Marissa. So many of us are taking care of aging parents. I ran into a woman yesterday who had her mother with her and as I looked at her face, I saw the fatigue, the numbness, the glaze in her eyes. There is a lot of sacrifice involved and I so wanted to lift my sis up, who sounded so exhausted the last time we spoke on the phone. (((HUGS))) Amy

      1. It is. Day after day after day care continues. It can burn a person out. It is SO important to take YOU time when you are in the position of caring for someone. Bless you for taking the time to comment, Marissa. Love, Amy

      1. The dichotomy in the middle ages that divided priests from laity did much harm. The clergy were no more perfect than anyone else, but felt the pressure to appear that way. They are the forerunners of todays fundamentalists.

      2. Yepper! I know. It irks me to no end when clergy believe they are “above” lay people. Hmmmm …. My uncle was a priest, and he actually left the priesthood due to the superiority attitude and “other things”. It’s a shame what has happened to the “church”.

      3. The church is not an organization; she is a living organism that should have long ago recognized that when the church’s motto becomes “But we never did it that way before” it is already dying if not dead. When a “church” claims to have the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, run for your life. Churches that claim they “do” church just like the first century church, let me know where their catacombs are where they worship. The only Voice I am compelled to obey is the Voice of my Beloved Lord and Savior. If people do not take time to listen and follow that Voice, they are in grave danger of being in a dead orthodoxy.

      4. Susie, oh my!! You are so right on here! I ONLY listen to that Voice, long ago stopped even trying to listen to man’s voice. Every time I did, I heard “red flag here NO NO NO!” and so I stopped even trying to find a church. Church is the PEOPLE in ONE GOD. We hear that God, that Voice through our Hearts. SO many Hearts are closed as are the ears who have been told they MUST listen to man who knows MORE then the Heart. I say PHOOEY! Not I! Many a time I go running for my yellow pad of paper and pen because it is the Voice that I begin to hear, telling me words to bring to Petals. I get very discouraged, my sister, when peeps see my photography but seem to glide right over the Words that are so important. *sigh* I keep trying, not giving up Hope, and KNOWING that these very same Words are sowing SEEDS for the right time. Right, Susie? I know you know what I mean!!!! (((HUGS))) Amy

  2. And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], “uff,” and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word.

    Salam dear sister Amy ,

    1. Thank you, Kathy, on both counts. I literally passed out after dinner last night on my bed with all the lights still on. I woke at around 2am, lights still on, so I got up to turn them off. Hubs too just passed out from the camping trip. Next on the list of “to do’s” NIAGARA FALLS!! I got my neutral density filters today that I plan on using and now my excitement level is passed 10!!! LOL Hope you are having a good day, my friend!!!! (((HUGS))) Amy

  4. Hi Amy! 🙂 Always beautiful pictures here and the perfect words to go with them! I am just popping in for a brief moment. Hoping this posts as the last time I tried it didn’t. Crazy world. Ahhhh moment with the kitties! So adorable! Noticed the post where hubs left you food. Ahhhh again…..my hubby would love me to do that for him when I leave. Lol! He doesn’t cook nor ever intends too. Lucky gal you! I wanted to thank you for putting pictures a while back up of the “weeds” or wild flowers! They should be cherished for all of their wild beauty, but are often overlooked. Thank you for putting them out there. Native fauna is in need of resurgence for all the wildlife dependent on them. Hope your days have been pleasurable this summer. Love you Amies! ❤ Denise

    1. Thank you, Keith, and Bless you!! I’ve encouraged my sister to read the comments. There are so many here who poured out their Love to her. Yes, she walks some very tough roads. My Dad is a handful. I don’t know if I could do what she is, and that is then honest Truth. When I heard the defeat, and bone breaking fatigue in her voice a few days ago, I just HAD to do something for her. My Sis is undefeatable, Keith. Shades of her older Sis. (smile) It really took me by surprise to hear what I did. I lifted Merry up here with Hopes that the Love for her, she scoops up and hangs tightly on to. Bless you, Keith, for caring!!! 1. Thank YOU, Laura. The trees were taken with my macro, along with my kitties. Again, I am amazed what that lens is capable of doing. I caught that magic light around twilight. I saw those trees with the light from the house, and I ran for my camera. I am really happy by how I edited this. Your compliment really means a lot to me!!!! Sending you Lots of Love and (((HUGS)) Amy

  5. Dear Amy,
This post is for you, because your huge beating heart is sad.
Your sisters path is admirable and of great service. Love and light sent to her.
You on the other hand, even though you feel what you feel, a balance can be created. I have read your unconditional loving words, let them out now and you will soar!! Course you photography is your conduit, wonderfully expressed. Smile!!!

    1. Michael, what makes you say my heart is sad? You really took me by surprise. This post is for anyone who cares for another, which I am one of. Can you explain why my heart is sad? I am all ears. Thank you! Love, Amy

      1. Amy,
I reverse my statement of you being sad, that I completely misconstrued. You were just expressing good wishes and caring for your sister and aging father. I guess I was projecting what I would have felt, sorry!
But I still stand by my belief that your pictures are sending heart felt images to all who observe them as unconditional love.
Bright love to you and yours on this energetic weekend. 🙂

      2. Blessings to you, Michael. Thank you for being concerned for me. You touch me deeply. My Dad has been without too much of a quality of life, much of which he has created. I know when the time comes to say goodbye it will be a two edged sword. Yes, I will miss him. And Yes, I will rejoice he finally has been released from the misery he has been living in. With Love, Amy
