Exactly what I needed to hear today, Amy! I have been sharing YOUR postings on my Facebook page…I also have a Stumbler and Pinterest page…so IF I find it above, I will share there too! You have such beautiful photography! I do not do as well with that…only have my Phone camera…and I am not that literate on this WordPress site business. I wish that there was someone who lived in proximity to me, so I could be walked through it and improve my site. Do you think I should change the TITLE: Johannisthinking? When I first began to blog, I did not expect responses…just needed a place to exist…Now I think IF I change the name, I would lose my followers. What are your thoughts? Thank you! Blessings!
Jane
This is what I wrote to INTRODUCE my social media site friends to your blog: “Beautiful blog with stunning photography of nature accompanied by good thoughts~!”
Jane, I am not that techo minded unfortunately. I really thank you for sharing my work on Facebook! I don’t even know how to twitter and yes I do have a Facebook account but I don’t use it. Why don’t you contact support@wordpress.com and ask them how to change the title of your blog, or if you can do tha?. I honestly built my blog blindly over the past year, stumbling as I went along. I still don’t know how to [link], trying but when I do the link does not show on my post. So, don’t feel all alone for I too still don’t have all the ins and outs of this blogging stuff. I wish you all the very best! I really thank you from the bottom of my Heart for being a part of Petals, and for sharing my work. I think ALL of us need to hear these words today or at some part of our lives because we tend to be our own worst enemy, being so hard on ourselves. BE Happy! With Love, and (((HUGS))) Amy
O-o-o-o kay ….. if you say so, Dan, I will just have to take your word for it. LOL I am searching my memory bank and I just come up blank in the geometry department. Now you have me thinking ….. something math …. pi? LOL (((HUGS))) Amy
You just blew my mind, Dan! Can you SEE my jaw that is on the ground?? I’m stunned, wordless right now. Just so blown away. I was VERY good in math at one time and this is one reason I SEE geometry in the images I shoot. Angles, curves, structures and then how they all blend. What amazes me I just realized how everything interrelates. I know for each musical note, there is math involved, as well as color. If I really start chewing on this, I wouldn’t have a mind left. It’s breathtaking, just miraculous. And Nature encompasses it ALL! Whew! Trying to wrap my head just around what I saw on the page you sent me. LOL xx Amy
Amy, I don’t pretend to understand all of this. There has been a lot of research published about mathematical functions that explain or represent certain things in nature. I remember first reading about this many years ago when I was reading an article about Fractals and how they can represent coastlines, snowflakes and other patterns in nature. As you say, the way things interrelate is something that i find interesting. I hope this doesn’t keep you awake tonight 🙂
After the day I have had? Not to worry! Just the Yoga class I took today is enough to quarantee I get a good night’s rest. I still have yet more to go before I hit that bed. But when I do think about stuff like this, my mind can really go deep. Fascinating really how everything is created. Our little pea brains struggle at the magnitude of it all. (smile) Mine sure does even IF it can go deep. I’m not logitistically inclined, but I question HOW and WHY a lot and then begin realizing stuff like …. the same molecules in me are in a tree. In a blade of grass. In a flower. And then I go off from there. LOL Hope I won’t keep YOU up tonight. xx Amy
Oops, I will wait ….. best of luck with WP. Are you posting in visual mode versus text mode? Someone told me I am now ending up in spam. Just wow! If it is not one thing it is another. I will think GOOD things about WP. GRIN! (((HUGS))) Amy
I normally post in visual mode but this time for some reason it was acting up. I would post the picture and then try to align either right or left and it wouldn’t work. Just was acting weird and the when I previewed it would look different then I arranged it. Next post I am going to just put it in the center one below another. That’s terrible that you are ending up in spam. I get notified when you post. HUGS Kathy
VERY busy, Lisa, thank you, but yes, good. I am about wrapping things up here, finish the odd thing or two that needs doing, hop in the shower and then to bed. See you in the mornin’. Sweet dreams. Love, Amy
I know I know. I don’t get enough of them in real life. Hopefully all the hugs I leave all over the internet will jump out and start hugging me back. LOL (((HUGS))) Amy
Whoa!!! That last image is so stunning!! Ah yes, calming the inner critic….not an easy task for me- though very necessary. Thank you for the reminder ❤ xo!
It’s a reminder for all of us, Melissa. Me too. I have been doing better with that Inner Critic since I have gone back to Yoga. I am so much calmer and accepting of things. Hope your day was a great one!!! Love, Amy
Love these photos. I just recently started following your blog, and am really enjoying what you photograph. I tried to find Artists 4 Peace, and got weird messages from IE. Do you have any links to them?
Their address is artists4peace@wordpress.com. That should take you right to their site, Kerry. I really am happy that you are enjoying Petals. Thank you! (((HUGS))) Amy
I clicked on the link and it wanted to open Outlook and send an email. I put the address in the browser again, and it says something to the effect that “domain mapping not found.” It is very odd. Thanks for the link.
Hehehehehehe She laughs as she says YAY I can still surprise! GRIN!!!! Thanks, Uncle Tree. Coming on over later on to catch my breath and to read and feel God. It’s been one of those days. (((HUGS))) Amy
YOU inspired me, Maverick. I don’t remember which image, but because of it, I was determined to learn something new. And I did, and I owe it all to you!!! (((HUGS))) Amy
I must admit, I don’t know. I fail miserably when it comes to names of flowers, YellowCable. I just know they are beautiful. These are from the gardens I was photographed a little while ago. Thank you for your wonderful comment. Love, Amy
YellowCable, I am now trying to get in contact with the owner of these gardens. I asked her for the name of this flower for you. Hopefully she will respond. 🙂
I will let you know as soon as I hear from her, YellowCable. I’m happy to help you out. I wish I knew for you. SMILE I have to write down the names of my Roses so I won’t forget. LOL Love, Amy
I just heard from her, and she doesn’t know. This is an extremely close up of a flower, so even she doesn’t recognize it. Sorry, YellowCable. I tried. (((HUGS))) Amy
True story today, Lorrie. Husband thought he put his wallet in pocket in parking lot. Not even paying attention he put his wallet into empty space and it fell on the ground. He left. Went to another store. Realized his wallet was gone. Flew back to previous store. Someone found wallet and turned it in to management. No money taken. That wallet was undisturbed. Yes, Lorrie, I really AM an Angel. I AM protecting this man for he is so messed up in his head from war that if it were not for me, he would be dead. YOU confirmed for me, what I have known. Yes, Lorrie, I AM an Angel for real, and so are you. (((HUGS))) Amy
Beautiful flowers I love.
There is movement in the static.
The flowers are blooming in the time that was slow.
Photo shoot a nice moment.
And hold your breath, you press the shutter.
Love.
