Jewels From My Gardens Today (7 MACROS)

I have for you, Jewels right from my gardens this morning. I hope you all enjoy the beauty you are about to see. There are a few Jewels that I have not seen in a long time, and there are more budding right now, which yes, I took photos of, but have not included in this post. One you are about to see, I have not seen in TWO years. Due to the changed weather patterns and insects not behaving as I am used to, I will have to change my strategy next year on how to protect my Roses better. *scratching head* For you that you do not garden or grow Roses, this is really challenging to do. Trying to figure out how to overcome weather and insects in ways I am not used to … takes some real thought!

Now on to the show! I deliberately identified the following images as Jewels. When you view them, you will understand! ENJOY!!!

First up, is Tahitian Sunset (Darn! if I didn’t spell Her name wrong on the image!) whom I have NOT seen in TWO years. As it is plain to see, She has really struggled.

_MG_7571_2925

Next is Mauvelous who I believe flowered in early Spring and then stopped, again due to voracious aphids. She again right now, is showing Her colors.

_MG_7565_2920

Then I have Moondance, which I know flowered in early Spring but She was severely shocked from deer eating her. *sigh* She is once again beginning to flower. The one after Her is Crimson Bouquet which has been flowering and has been seen here before, but I couldn’t resist another image. She is velvet and trying to capture Her texture is vexing me. You have no idea how many times I have tried. IF I had a smartphone camera, NO problem, piece of cake. I’m always up for a challenge! (GRIN) The third photo is called Lovestruck, another Rose I have shown, yet again I had to show you again, this time from a different perspective.

_MG_7567_2922_MG_7579_2932_MG_7557_2956

The next one I have shown months ago, but She was not healthy at the time. Now She is. Look and see. (smile) Her name is Love. I asked myself why is Her name Love? Is there not two sides to Love when you really get to know someone?

And last but not least, is Tee Tee. He is the reincarnation of my cat Tigger who just was so attached to me, he immediately returned. Now for those of you who don’t believe in reincarnation, just think of it as a Soul who decided to return to me in a different form because he Loved me so much. He is one of the outdoor cats who lives in the barn next door, but you can find him more (in the warm seasons) hanging out in our backyard or asleep on the back stairs. Here is my Tee Tee. And yes, this photo was taken with my macro lens. Pretty amazing!

I hope you enjoyed my post, and made your day a little brighter for it. May all of you have Peace this day, and Happiness in your Hearts. Love, Amy

PS I don’t plan on being online much today. I was going to take the day off, but my Heart guided me to do this post. Have a Great Day!!!

    1. LOL That Jewel seems is permanently tied to my Heart. I didn’t want him to come back, darn it! Yet, it seems he still has things to learn from me, and I him. So here we are again, but this time, he lives outside. It does my Heart good to see his Mind has been healed. LONG story on this guy, Celia. Due to severe abuse and trauma during the first 9 months of his life, he had severe acting out problems. It got to a point the little mind he had, broke. At only 8 years of age, I had to put him down. It was agonizing. Now Tig is back, in another form, for the moment I saw this cat, I recognized his energy. At first it was extremely difficult for me to have a reminder around about my loss and what I had to do, but now, the LOVE between us has washed that pain away. I have some amazing cat stories, Celia. He is just one of them. Love, Amy

    1. I couldn’t call him Tigger (first cat) so I ended up by saying T, and now Tee Tee. For real emphasis, when my voice is dripping with Love, I call him Teezee. Thanks, Amanda!!! I am really glad you enjoyed my photos today! Love, Amy

    1. Lisa, I think I will be adding a product next year that the roses absorb for insects. This has become too hard with sprays or green products. And then the weather. *eye roll* Not much I can with that other then keep hoping things will improve. Last year drought and SO hot, this year cool and TOO rainy! Next year Balanced? Hope so!!!! 1. Oh, do have FUN, Lorrie!!!! I’m a wee bit envious right now. To be able to have a little trip …. that I am not able to do. There is no one to care for my babies, so I must try to fit in small trips, (hours) on certain days. And I do. (smile) Love, Amy

    1. Don’t give up, Amy. My Roses are just NOW beginning to flower, or most of them, that is. Rain this year, and severe drought and heat last year, have really beat my Roses up. And then the insects …. yiveh! AND if I don’t spray Liquid Fence to keep the deer away, the deer will eat my Roses. It has been really challenging! (((HUGS))) Amy

    1. Yes, isn’t Mauvelous marvelous??? It is SO good to see Her!!! Take my word for it that Roses are just about the most challenging flower to grow. I know. I have to do NEW next year to see if I can get these Roses to survive the changing climate and bugs. Have a great day, Melissa! Love, Amy

  8. Lovely roses, Amy! they are all gorgeous, but my favorite is the white Moondance! I think it reminds me of the rose garden my grandparents used to have. Happy Tee Tee has come (back) to you πŸ™‚ Many hugs!

    1. Moondance I have waited all through the Summer to see Her again. The deer that ate the roses really shocked Her and because She was weak, those *$%#@$#$%%^^% aphids just about destroyed Her. I am SO glad you are drawn to Her because to me, She is Purity at the Highest Level. I have two other blooms on Her I must photograph in the morning. I meant to do it this evening, well…. one of those things. (smile) Thank you SO much, Tiny, for your comment. Love, Amy

  9. I have been MISSING YOU in my absence from the blogosphere Sweet Amy. It is so nice to meet all of your precious jewels today. They are exquisite as is your talent. If you learn any new tricks for aphids plea do share them with me. I am still unable to grow dill, even after the passing of over a decade and several homes. I love dill!!! Light & love – Lisa

    1. Lisa, I am I THINK going to use a product in which the Roses will absorb the chemicals. This I do not want to do, but I no longer know what to do. Aphids for the last 2 years have been horrid. You will have to wait until next year for me to say if what I am doing works. I really am besides myself between the abnormal weather and insects. (((HUGS))) and have a great day!!! Love, Amy

  10. Yes I believe in Reincarnation Amy,, and Animals often find us, I have had this happen twice… Plus after my oldest Cat passed away,, She was 21.. I still felt her paddle on the bed when I was in it.. and often she would still purrr in my ear.. I kid you not.. Even now although its rarer these days.. We often and that includes Hubby have seen her walking pass the door in a glimpse from the Kitchen where her feeding bowl used to be along the hall to the stairs… She was an amazing spirit.. And my daughter who grew up with her was bereft… I have a long story about their bond.. But my daughter was with her friends abroad when our Sweet Cat had a stroke.. She hung on until she got home 4 days later then perked up and recovered to be almost as good as new.. Then had another stroke 6mths later..
My daughter and her partner now have two rescue cats of their own.. Cats have always ruled in our home LOL.
    Loved this post Amy..

    1. I am now telling my cats, when you leave please do not come back in the physical. Mom must have some semblance of a life before she joins you on the other side. This taking care of so many cats has been dominant in my life for so long, that to just take a vacation is not possible. Yet, tomorrow I go to get my special license so that I can board a plane and go to Canada. I plan on doing both. Hubs is just going to have to learn how to care for these cats. Especially now that my Dad is getting ready to transition soon. I will see him before he leaves. That means hubs WILL learn how to do what I do. And he shall. Love, Amy

      1. Yes some times Amy that’s the only way they will learn is being dropped in at the deep end.. We tend to keep carrying people otherwise πŸ™‚
Sorry to hear though that your Dad is not well… Knowing what we do, and viewing their Transition as a gateway to a new joyful journey helps us be better prepared..

I nursed my Dad at his home for the last months of his life.. He had lung cancer.. I talked him home.. and felt it a privilege to hold his hand as he passed to the otherside.. He has been back via other mediums with proof and I often know when he is hovering lol..
Sending thoughts to you dear Amy for this reunion and farewell. xox Love to you .. Sue xxx

  11. Just beautiful roses Amy! I truly miss mine. The weather over the past few years has done them in as I can’t seem to revive them and oh so expensive to replace. I came back to this page just to take another peak at the roses and Tee. Caught the last post with Sue. I am just tearing up here as my dad passed with lung cancer as well. I had the privilege of holding his hand and helping him cross too. It was very peaceful as he passed away at home. Very loving moments in the midst of the upheaval of life and the ongoing care and support for the year prior. Just lost my brother inlaw with cancer in May. Some amazing stories when we pass. I will keep you all in my prayers Amy. As to the husbands left to care for the dear furries…big smile here as mine is having to learn how to care for our diabetic cat…insulin shots, blood testing and all. Lol he never even took the time to know where I keep supplies etc.. It has been an eye opening experience for the both of us. πŸ™‚ I have been traveling out of state two days a week taking natural animal rearing classes, but feeling guilty I have left mine back home with dad. Ha! Anyway sending you and all those around you ((hugs))! And sending lovely Sue Dreamwalker a (hug) too! It would be nice to live around so many wonderful people wouldn’t it, but here at least you do have them in your life. More love coming your way dear Amy! You are often in my thoughts even when I am not here. πŸ™‚ ❀ ❀ ❀ Denise

    1. Wow, Denise, you wrote a book here!! I am thrilled your life is going in the direction it is, and I am so proud of your hubby having to learn how to take care of a diabetic cat. Mine will be learning, oh believe me, because my life in photography is just opening up, and I have a “feeling” there will be traveling involved. Then there is my Dad. Must go see him. I am truly sorry about all your losses, my friend, especially your Dad. Just know he truly is in a better place and somehow as well, he is with you too. So many losses these days it seems to me, yet so much new as well. You stay strong and well, and keep listening to your Heart as to the direction YOUR life is to go. I cheer you on!!! I am SO proud of you! And yes, it has been a huge struggle with my roses, Denise. I have one blooming right now for the first time in two years. I’ve worked hard to save them, believe me! Sending you Much Love and (((HUGS))) Amy
