      1. Nope. This is a different location. I got down to this creek all by myself. It was an easy route this time. (smile) xx Amy

  1. It’s like sitting in an outdoor amphitheater watching a drama unfold. Spectacular shots and the shades of color – just wow. If I had to pick a favorite, I think it would be the second one.

    1. Oh, Kathy, really, the honor is all mine. To have the means to share something that was so special to me is a Gift. The Magic I was shown and was able to create still stuns me. I could look at these all day too. (((HUGS))) Amy

      1. Catnip, I am right now pruning back my Peonies. You just may want the seeds I have when you SEE my Peonies I will be posting either tomorrow or Thursday. I am putting all the pods aside, according to the color and type of Peony. I am stunned to see how many seeds I have this year. Just letting you know …

      2. From the plant itself. They are in pods. Not all my plants seem to be female. So far, just the frilly pink I got pods off from, and I think those are the ones I will post. The deep reds have no pods, the whites none so far as I can see, and I have one other variety of a deep pink that I have yet to check. I understand fully about the privacy issue, so if you are not comfortable exchanging addresses I will not be hurt. I mean it. I totally understand. I am just putting the offer out there for you. Bottom line, two things. No one gets your address. And I am not asking money for them. These Peonies were Gifted to me by my best friend who now walks the Next World, so I want to continue the Gift. I don’t even know yet if these pods have seeds. I am just cutting off the pods and putting them in a paper bag for now, to let dry. OK?

      3. Yes, I am. But I never use it. I will let you know if the pods do have seeds, and go from there. OK? I have nothing to hide either, as I am sure your perceptiveness has shown. I still have more plants to prune, so out the door I go. Bless you, for trusting me! Love, Amy

  5. I promised you that I’d weigh in, so here goes. Essentially, I like what you’ve done here. You’ve captured some unusual lighting conditions very well. (That brownish, silty look is one that’s common at some waterfalls (see the fall photos at the bottom of this entry as an example: http://lightscapesphotography.wordpress.com/2013/11/13/the-up-day-3/.)

There’s a lot of perspective variety here, which is always encouraging to see. I urge you to keep playing around with different focal lengths and realist/abstract/semi-abstract renderings. There are an almost endless number of ways to capture waterfalls and cascades; most people satisfy themselves with a simple head-on shot and move on. You’ve already demonstrated a willingness to go far beyond, and I hope you’ll continue to push the limits each time you head out.

    Well done!

    1. Wow, Kerryl, I am so very humbled by your very encouraging words. I do like to experiment and to get something from a unique angle. I walk around first at a site, and listen to what is being shown to me. Sometimes it takes a while before I understand why I am there. This one was just one magic moment after the other. Doing a unipod trick with a tripod while balancing the camera on a guard rail was quite the creative side of me, coming to the forefront. I really don’t want to repeat that experience. My eyes see differently then most people’s eyes and this is what I bring with me when I am behind a camera. Your words spoken to me, after seeing your work, has floored me. I thank you from the bottom of my Heart. I now head to see where you are leading me with the link you left. (((HUGS))) Amy

    1. The flow has been tough, Keith. Really tough. Rapid tough. I was just sitting here thinking how I am going to survive even one more day of these rapids. Stunned, shocked, disbelieving that so much is falling apart around me. At times even me. And I am the Eye of the storm. Hmmmm…..My photography is crucial for me right now to stay connected to God or I would sink. So I look at these falls and feel myself unwind and melt into the Heart of God. Love, Amy

      1. Tis the only way I know, Keith. I refuse to go down with the ship. God is my life raft. And I am NOT letting go. The One who walked ON water is teaching me the very same. (smile)

    1. Thank you, Mom. I got lucky between the pigment in the water and the twilight light. And of course there is the person behind the camera with the eye that sees. (smile) Hoping you are having a good week!!! Love, Amy

  7. Amy, once again your “work” has touched my heart. Waterfalls have a special spiritual meaning to me and you have captured that so well. i hope that you have found the peace and light in them that you are in need of right now, also. As your journey continues, allow the waters flow to bring you strength and perseverance so that you may find the way you are seeking. Peace and love, Phyl

In fact, I am taking three days off which I will be notifying eveyone about tomorrow. Many more places to go … many more adventures to seek. Have a great night! I am off to bed. Love, Amy
