Wonderful Team Member Readership Award

I am breaking one of my own rules because well, I made up the rule so that entitles me with every right to break it. (GRIN) I have agreed to accept the Wonderful Team Member Readership Award from a very dear friend of mine, Kathy. When she nominated me for this award, I had to do some hard thinking. To me, this award is a real honor, and so, with that honor in mind, I accept it. Kathy can be found at:

The rules are that I pass this onward to 14 people who I feel deserve to be nominated. Truth be told there are so many of you, that in choosing only 14, I do not wish to create any hard feelings. And as I am doing the choosing, I am basing my choices on those who comment here at Petals, and whom I have developed a relationship with. I could have kept going. And going. There are SO many who I think deserve this award. Please do not be offended if you are not on this list. This is another reason why I don’t like awards. I have to pick and choose, and there is always a possibility someone’s feelings get hurt for not being chosen. If you haven’t, take a good look at how many are following me. Now maybe you have got a better idea how hard this was for me to do.

For those of you who I nominated, the rules are simple. Please acknowledge who gave you this award, and pass it along to 14 more people. Also, please put this banner on your blog somewhere too! I’m not a very good example of following the rules, so if you have more then 14 people in mind, go for it.

This award took me a long time to do. So, I am asking, IF any of you in the future wish to honor me with an award, I will again have to reluctantly turn it down. Friends, I honestly don’t have the time to do awards. I made this one exception to my rule. OK?

  9. Haaaa!!!!! When I saw on my reader, the familiar rose petal writing about Awards I had a good laugh! One rule gone in the wind!
    You see, a good heart will always be grateful for every act of kindness no matter how small and insignificant….and you are the very definition of a good heart!

      4. So far my Heart is not pushing me to post, so I am not. I am going outside and enjoying my gardens. I have several Rose bushes that need to be transplanted and today being cool and sunny, is the perfect day to do that. I need quiet time, Kathy. I’ve given of myself so much lately. In order for the messages to keep coming through, I need to be centered and refreshed. Although at times, just when I am ready to close my weary eyes, the words insist on coming. I SAY I am not posting this weeken. My Heart may have a different say. Tee hee. (((HUGS))) Amy

      5. I would follow your heart then and see what happens. I use to post weekly but have been so tired and know it’s time I slow down for awhile and refresh. Glad that you are getting some nice weather. We are suppose to get a warm-up also into the 70’s by tomorrow. {{{HUGS BACK}}} ♥

      6. Kathy, I used to post up to FIVE times in one day, lowered that to about 3, now down to mainly ONE per day. And with all the comments that come in, plus all the comments I leave in many places at others’ blogs, it is getting to the point I must take weekends off. (((HUGS))) Amy

Amy Pinkrose; you could almost put me in a quandary, were it not for the fact that your breaking the rules has meant there are so many deserving people who can take up your kind award and run with it. Whew ! That means I can be excused; for I have a page on the navigation bar of my site that explains why I can’t take advantage of your very well-meant gesture. We all have things we believe in, and you are foremost among us in that regard; so I know you will understand and forgive me for appearing to throw your gift in your face.
    This I don’t do: I merely stand by what I’ve said from almost the word ‘go’. And I thank you in spite of it. 😀

    1. Know I Love you, Margaret Rose, and any decision you make I stand by you. I understand what you must do for you you must do. I broke my own rule this one time because my Heart told me to. Now, if that means it will start raining awards, I will most reluctantly turn them down. Only when my Heart directs me to, I shall accept another.   26. Dear Amy, Many many thanks for this wonderful honour.. I am always so pleased when people think my blog worthy of a nomination.. And yet I am hopeless when it comes to passing them on.. Like you I so dislike restricting nominees to just a handful..
    At the beginning of 2014 I told myself ( I am always having little chats with myself 😉 ) that I would not accept any more awards.. Simply that the time it takes in preparing etc.. And time is so precious to me right now. .. But it seemed once I told myself that .. The awards just kept streaming in… SO I must do something very soon to remedy my laziness over this..

    I had to pop on this morning as I was not near my PC yesterday… To say a very Big Thank you…. And I am very honoured to accept this award.. and Pass it along ..

    1. Sue, you do what is best for you. I still have an “award free” blog policy because of the reasons I stated. They are too time consuming, and it is just too hard to pick and choose. If these awards were just that, awards with no “rules”, I would accept them. But, this one I felt was very special, so I accepted it. I too am being pulled outside. It is cool and sunny here today, perfect to transplant some Roses that need to be moved. I have given of myself so much here lately, I need to be refreshed. Love to you, my friend. xx Amy

        The weather here in the UK these past 4 days has been fabulous and Sunny and warm.. SO.. when its nice I am out and about if I am not at work…

      2. Sue, don’t ever apologize. I have been out in my gardens, transplanting Roses and now having to decide what new plants to buy to put where the Roses were. I also have three more gardens to do, and where my bushes are, I noticed that area needs more soil and some of my bushes are dead not doing well this past winter. Lots to do.
