    1. You have a great weekend as well, Priyan. That (darn) stepladder was not easy to climb with no support of any kind. I still don’t know how I managed to get the images I did between my legs shaking and the breeze blowing. (smile) So many people love admiring pretty pictures … I think perhaps appreciation might increase IF they knew what some of us photographers go through just to get perfection captured. (another smile) BIG (((HUGS))) to another one who works hard to get fantastic shots!!! Love, Amy

    1. Sreejith, knowing your wife does macro photography, you can well imagine how many images in total were “snapped”. LOL This was a challenge and to be truthful with you, I am amazed any of my images came out half way clear. Thank you for the compliment!! May your weekend be a good one!!! Love, Amy

    2. Doda, I wish my mother, who is one of my followers, could “listen in” to your words to me. She is still finding fault. Yet, this time, my friend, when it happened, I laughed and said “isn’t it just like her to do this?” I hope to gain her respect over time, and even if she doesn’t show it, will have it in her heart. Thank you for your golden words to me. *tears* Thank you! Love, Amy

    1. Thank you, Sue. The shaking really didn’t stop 100%. I did my best. What I wouldn’t do for a capture. Hehehehehhe My curiosity always gets the better of me. LOL (((HUGS))) Amy

    1. LOL Even though I was shaking. Try balancing on a stepladder with nothing to hold on to, camera in one hand and holding the breath as well. Tee Hee. What I do for an image! Love, Amy

      1. I promise not to do that again. I really do. IF I do, I will call hubs to support me. Truthfully it really was scary … I had nothing to grab a hold of and to help me balance. I promise, Lora. xx Amy

  6. Oh, brave you ! – I’m HOPELESS on ladders, let alone outside with a wind blowing !!
These are truly lovely images, and worth all the anxiety and stress, Amy (but I must add that it seems terribly selfish for us to get the benefit of it …) !

      1. No. But he had a lot of made-up words that he used instead of the real ones.

        SUNTHING = something
        and so on. 😀

      2. We used to speak “pig Latin” as kids. You take away the first letter of each word, add it to the end of that word and add and “a”. Like: igpa. (pig) …giggle…. And as a kid the brain worked lightening fast. LOL 🙂

    1. Thank you, Susan! These flowers are SO tiny and so delicate and so beautiful. I am crossing fingers I can go and get more pics today. When the flowers begin to bloom on our property I won’t have to go many places to seek flowers. 🙂

      1. Hmmmm….. I really like that, Susan. I have been talking to someone and that is the subject that came up. Since a child, all I have known is LOVE and that GOD is LOVE. Anything else is just secondary to this. I came into this life knowing this, Susan, and now for you to name me this! I am SO touched! Again I am in tears! OH! I am SO loved! And it fills my heart to the point of bursting!!! Love, Amy

    1. (smile) I like to play with words. I really am in awe of Mother Nature and what I photographed left me speechless. How do you describe something so utterly breathtaking that it defies the imagination? We really do live in a magical world. You just have to have eyes to see. (((HUGS))) Amy

      1. True. I saw a great billboard the other day, an amazing panoramic landscape picture of fields and distant mountains, and a quote at the bottom that said, “This is why cowboys don’t say much.”

  7. I like the description of the adventure. 🙂 You’re so right about the tripod. I never seem to have one or be able to use one when I need it. You did a great job. The pictures nice.

    1. I’m still trying to figure out how to get a tripod into the places I am bringing my camera. Now, when my Roses are in bloom I can easily set up a tripod. But even with that, I take my camera into angles to shoot that you just don’t get when you use a tripod. I think a tripod is limiting, and when you learn how to hold a camera without shaking( LOL) your potential to capture the unusual increases.

Thank you for the great comment and may your weekend be wonderful. Love, Amy

  9. Amy, I just love you sweet verbal and pictorial journey up and into Maple’s beginning and delight. You captured me so much, that I started dreaming about the other end of Maple’s sweetness, when she produced the sap that turns to syrup that is slowly poured over soft warm pancakes that are smothered in butter. May the circle be unbroken.

    1. Thank you, Brenda. I see you have been wandering in my Garden. (smile) I just came in for a 5 minute break, made sure all my babies are OK, drank a gallon of water, and out I go again to finish up. I will most likely have number 4 and number 5 garden done, out of 16. I have yet to go near my huge rose garden. GROAN. I peeked today and I see tons of new growth!!! YES!!! (((HUGS))) Amy

      1. Still a bit early here for much gardening. We had snow yesterday. I had a good time walking in your garden! 🙂 Hugs!! Brenda

      2. I know it is early for most people. I do what I can and it is a lot. Clearing out the winter debris, applying more mulch, cutting down the old growth. We had snow here too, just two days ago, yet, if I don’t start now, I will not be ready to have time to shoot my flowers. My gardens are extensive, Brenda. I won’t prune back my roses yet or remove the mulch protection over the root ball. I have looked at my roses and yes yes yes I am seeing new growth, despite the cold weather!

Every year I begin early. And I usually don’t finish the all of it by the time flowers arrive. This year I want to finish!! This evening I go out and get more pics. My neighbors’ bulbs are beginning to flower and there are lots of new growth everywhere that is calling me. So I eat now, rest, and when the sun is more soft, I go out with my camera.

I am so glad you enjoyed my gardens. (smile) You haven’t seen anything yet! LOL Love, Amy
