Stepping Stones (4 Images)

(Keep in mind when you view the photographs, I had a grown man acting like a little child, complaining he had to “potty”. So, my concentration was not 100% and I was most certainly not in my zone. Go ahead and laugh. A day in the life of me. Hmmmm … Anyways, these images were taken yesterday. You cannot imagine my JOY I felt when I saw COLOR and FLOWERS! All I wanted to do is loose myself and roam about to take picture after picture. I’ll remember next time … oh yes, there will be a next time! … I will be alone. That is, except for my camera.)

Outstanding words. I truly believe kindness will make us feel better about ourselves and there is anything more important than gratitude to make this world a more sweet place to live in

    1. Those flowers are in another location, Kathie, and even after checking my neighbor’s gardens, still see no sign of color. I want to go back to the Botanical Gardens to spend hours and hours and hours. I am dealing with a very ill cat who is going to the vet this afternoon, and depending on the outcome, I may or may not be able to go. Keeping fingers crossed and saying prayers that my Rocky will be OK. Love and (((HUGS))) Amy

      2. Kathy, Rocky is much better today! Homeopathy and an antibiotic helped tremendously. He must have dental surgery so he will probably be going next week. He had his pre-surgical bloods drawn, and I am praying they are all OK. He has a lot of problems, poor little guy, and the results are going to tell us if we are really keeping him healthy. Thank YOU for the prayers. Prayers work and I am very grateful to you! (((HUGS))) Amy

    1. The darn tootin’ place wouldn’t let him in because there was a cover charge to get in. They refused to let the poor guy pee! *eye roll!* And I do thank you for the compliment. Prof Frown.

    1. What distraction would that be, Margaret Rose? The fact that hubs had to pee and was rushing me? Hehehehehehe The place would NOT Let him to pee due to a cover charge. Do you believe that? He wouldn’t fight for himself, and this time, I was not stepping up to the bat. Uh uh! He had the pee problem, not me. xx

    1. We are getting there. It is still SO slow. These were taken not actually where we live but at the Botanical Gardens. Here there still are no flowers. I am crossing all fingers I can get back to the Gardens this weekend. Everything is blooming inside! I will probably be there for a good 4 hours at least. It is like a tropical paradise inside. xx Amy

      1. Seeing is a two edge sword, Susan. MOST people in my real life are afraid of me. They “know” I “see” through the dramas and the games. They don’t like to be seen, yet, this is who I am. I couldn’t change that if you paid me. SO glad to meet another who sees and who knows, the most of what we do see, we would rather NOT see. (((HUGS))) Amy

      2. Those who “wish” they “saw”, do not know the struggles involved. We just don’t see “light”. We also see dark. And it hurts. It is SO important for people like us to keep ourselves surrounded by beauty and Light and LOVE. I am sure you know that by now. It is a great honor to know you, Sue. I KNOW what I have gone through in order to “see” right. That Journey has been far from easy, bringing death a few times to my door. Oh yes, I know. HUGE (((HUGS))) to you!!! 3. Thank you Amy the honour is all mine.. Yes I have found we have to confront the shadows in life in order to find the light.. But all is as it should be.. I haven’t faced death as you have Amy.. But was thrown through the emotional washing machine.. A Nervous Breakdown, and Fybromyalgia.. but I no longer walk with a stick, I no longer am depleted of energy, and learnt to self heal..
I learnt we often unintentionally bring our illnesses into our being, through the hurts we carry.. I have learnt the hard way to let go more…
Life can still hurt, and often does.. But I have come to understand I can either allow it or rise above it.. So I chose to fly with wings to a different place.. One that I know we can share with others Like you.. In LOVE..
Being empathic and seeing beyond what others can see, can at times be another burden to bare.. I so agree.. That is why TIME OUT is essential.. We need to nurture SELF too…
Many Blessings Dear Amy, for your love and Light.. I am so grateful to have met you.. πŸ™‚ Love Sue xxxx

      4. I just had a conversation with my husband last night, that the past that he clings to so tightly, all the bad memories, is slowly killing him. These are his “safety net” and happy scares him. I have deliberately put a wall between he and I so that I no longer feel his pain, which I did for a long time, and that in of itself, got me ill. He sees it as I am unloving, and I am being selfish, and I don’t care. That is the furthest thing from the truth. In order to survive, and in order to walk what I have been called to do, I must be Centered, Calm, Loving, and Being in the Moment of Love. When I crash and succumb to despair (which I do) it totally wipes me out, depleting me of precious energy. That just happened recently and because I depend on those in Spirit to help me, I called out to Them to restore my energy. And it happened.

I could honestly talk to you all day long. So much in common. I do not plan on going to blogs this weekend or post on mine either this weekend. I really am taking off some time from here. So if you have a new post up, I won’t see it probably until Monday. I am going to begin in my gardens. My neighbor has some crocuses coming up and other bulbs, so when the Light is right, I will be photographing those. I thought I was going to go to the Botanical Gardens agains, but my heart is telling me otherwise. Besides on a weekend there probably will be too many people to be comfortable to photograph. That will happen on a weekday.
        So Much Love, Amy

I will see you when you are around as Self has to come first because if we do not look after ourselves how can we look after others? ..

  4. I don’t know much about flowers–to call them by their names. But what I do know is that I’m attracted to beautiful and bright-colored flowers. I also love trees for their various values.

Amy, your snapshots are sharp and you captured the heart of the reader/viewer with those brief words of truth and wisdom.

I’m glad am following your blog. One needs happiness in this world even when it looks grey and unfriendly.

      1. Uzoma, most of what you see is from my own property. I do travel to parks, here locally. The Stepping Stones’ pics are from the Botanical Gardens, again locally. I mange to find Treasure in the most unique places, none of which I have had to travel far. I live in WNY just to let you know where I am. The pics of the water are of Lake Erie. My furthest travels take me to Letchworth State Park, about a hour drive drive from where I live. Uzoma, I am unable to travel as in fly or drive for long distances due to a back injury I obtained over 20 years ago. I have learned that you don’t have to go far to find the beauty and Gifts that Mother has all around us. (smile) Our conversations have been quite delightful. Thank you. I am honored. Love, Amy

      2. Oh I;m sorry to learn about your situation. Please forgive me if I opened a sore spot — it was by no means intentional. I did enjoy looking at your works and agree that one can find beauty if they train their eyes to look closely. I’ve not been to the US, but can locate where you reside from my big map. Love NY — I think it’s a great city.

      3. No, Luv, you did not open a sore not at all. This is what is. I have comes to terms with it. Mother Nature has given me permission to photograph in a way that many do not. I am privileged. Believe me. I consider it a big deal. ALL those Roses you see here are mine. I grow them. I keep telling my friends, once I begin to open my gardens, I won’t be here as much as I am now. Gardening is a lot of work and plus photographing what I have. I admit I do a lot, but even I have limits. LOL Thank you for being a part of my life!!! (((HUGS))) Amy

    1. This IS the very reason why I focus on beauty. There is so much fear and pain and ugliness in this world. If more people would incorporate beauty and LOVE into their lives, (sigh) what a glorious world we would live in. And what you “sense” in my photography is the Love of Mother. For real. Thank you for liking my work. It brings great JOY to my heart knowing I made your day better. Love, Amy
