Below is for a new friend, Brenda.

Look how this Rose
struggled just to exist.
She may not be perfect
nor pretty to some.
But yet She survived!
If She had folded
to disappointment,
She would not have
beaten those odds!
If She can, so can you.
Don’t quit. Keep going!
Just do your best
as this Rose did
and that is all
anyone …
including YOU …
can ask!
~The Rose~

Aw, this is the sweetest!! Huge smiles, my new friend. For some reason, I don’t get pings, but I happened to still be up and looking in my reader (almost falling over tired) and what a treat!! Thanks so much! Would you like me to reblog? 🙂 Warmly, Brenda

Brenda! I am SO glad you read this!! I felt awful about what happened to you. You were on my mind all day long. A friend of mine, Patty, wrote a haiku for me when I confided in her that one day recently I was suffering horrific flashbacks of my childhood. So, I know how that made me felt, how a woman who I barely knew, reached out to me, and extended kindness to me. That is beautiful. That is Love.
I chose to continue the kindness extended to me, towards you.
I would be honored and thrilled at the same time if you would reblog. I do consider it an honor, for it does not cease to amaze me that in my opinion, I have these great writers and photographers following me, which yes, I consider you. Any time you wish to reblog, please feel free. If my words can reach someone who is struggling, again, I am indeed honored.
With Blessings and with so much Love, Amy

Amy,
I believe I remember Patty’s haiku, she is pretty amazing. I love her magique! I will be pleased to reblog. I hope you have a magical day. I am trying to fix my ever-crashing laptop today, and may need to be off-line for a while.
Love returned, Brenda

Dearest Russel, for a man to understand a Rose, amazes me. Wow! Some of my Roses, due to the cold Winters, really struggle to come back to life, and some don’t make it at all. I’ve also had the problem what once was a sunny area in my gardens, was now shade due to a tree growth. So I had to transplant some Roses which if not done properly, can shock the Rose. I don’t remember exactly the story behind this Rose, for I have so many to the truthful, but, when I saw Her, my heart was so full of Compassion and awe at the same time. To want to live that bad and to beat the odds is incredible to see. We as a species can learn so much from BOTH the animal Kingdom and the plant Kingdom. Just saying. (smile)
Thank you SO much for being here. I am indeed honored. Love, Amy

this is simply beautiful. i have always been someone who has appreciated the ‘imperfections’ in trees, plants, flowers, even people. the odd thing is i have always had – and continue to have – difficulty in appreciating my own imperfections. this is a lovely reminder 🙂

Thank you! It is always hardest, isn’t it, to overcome that inner critic who insists on perfection? How we tend to torture outselves, instead of just accepting, who we are in that very moment. I’m still learning that one to be truthful. I am planning on writing an article where my Journey to Love Me began, yet, in so doing, it pushes me out of my comfortable zone, making me very nervous.
Bless you for visiting and your comment is very appreciated. Come back any time!!! Lovem Amy
